Southaven, MS : A 69-year-old Coldwater woman died in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday, January, 20th 2018

A 69-year-old Coldwater woman died in a two-vehicle collision on Miss. Hwy. 305 Saturday afternoon.

DeSoto County Interim Coroner Josh Pounders said Carolyn Huckabee Forman was killed instantly in the accident, which occurred about 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Pounders said it appeared that Forman was traveling northbound on Miss. Hwy. 305 when her vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle headed southbound on 305.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and spun the other vehicle involved around on the roadway, according to Pounders.

Passengers from the accident scene were transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven with injuries.

The accident is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, and accident reconstructionists were dispatched to the scene late Saturday, Pounders said.
