One person was transported to Bedford Memorial Hospital after a single-vehicle wreck in Bedford County on Wednesday afternoon.

The dark blue, four-door sedan was headed west on Lowry Road when the crash occurred near the 4800 block.Virginia State Police Trooper J. Wheat said the incident is under investigation, and further details will be released after family has been notified.

VSP, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, Bedford County Emergency Services and Big Island Emergency Services responded to the scene.
