PALATINE, IL : Motorcyclist killed in Montgomery County crash on Route 10 on Monday, 17th September 2018

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday when his bike crashed into a vehicle in Palatine, state police said.

Andre Heydenrych, 55, of Cherry Valley, was southbound on Route 10 when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle traveling east along Hickory Hill Road, troopers said. Troopers identified the driver of the second vehicle as Karen Pittman, 68, of Saratoga Springs.

The crash happened just after 4 p.m. Troopers said Pittman failed to yield the right of way.

The investigation was continuing as of Monday.
