AVON, CO : 2 killed, 2 injured in crash near Vail on Saturday, 29th June 2024

Two people were killed and two were injured in a crash west of Vail Saturday.

Emergency responders from several agencies rushed to the scene on eastbound I-70, where two cars had collided.

“The collision involved two vehicles, tragically resulting in two fatalities from one vehicle. Two individuals from the second vehicle sustained injuries and have been transported to Vail Health Hospital for treatment,” Avon Police said in a Facebook post.

Authorities have not said what led up to the crash or publicly identified the victims at this time.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the families affected by this incident,” the police department said.
