Houghton Lake , MI : 31- Years Old man killed in Snow mobile Crash near frozen Houghton Lake on Saturday night ,March 7th 2015

Authorities in the northern Lower Peninsula say a 31-year-old Flint man has died in a snowmobile crash on frozen Houghton Lake.

TV station WPBN/WTOM (http://bit.ly/1ATiLUA ) reports that the crash happened about 11:15 p.m. Saturday in Roscommon County's Denton Township. It's about 20 miles south of Grayling.

The sheriff's department identifies the victim as Charles Pardo and says he died at the scene. It says his was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The department says the snowmobile was about 600 feet from shore when it crash. The department says speed and alcohol apparently contributed to the crash.
