An Oswego woman died after a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning on Garners Ferry Road in Lower Richland County.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Genise Regina Law, 49, died from blunt trauma of the head and torso.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Bob Beres said Law's 1998 Ford Explorer was traveling east on Garners Ferry Road when she ran off the road, overturned and hit several trees at about 2:15 a.m.

Law as the only person in the vehicle and was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
