Sioux City, IA : Mark Fischer, 59, died in a motorcycle accident near Old Highway 141 and County Road K-64 on Thursday morning, May 19, 2016

A Sioux City man died due to a motorcycle accident Thursday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol reports responding to the accident near Old Highway 141 and County Road K-64 at about 8 a.m.

Mark Fischer, 59, was found in a ditch alongside Old Highway 141 and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Law enforcement said Fischer was traveling north on the highway when he entered the ditch.

The incident is under investigation.
