Waubun,MN : Park Rapids woman hurt in rollover crash near Waubun on May,Thurssday 24th 2018

A Park Rapids woman was injured in a one-car accident early May 24 morning on Highway 59 south of Waubun.

Julie Ann Kristofferson, 48, was transported to the Mahnomen hospital, then airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.


She was driving a 2014 Cadilla SRX sports utility vehicle southbound on Highway 59 south of Waubun. The vehicle left the road on the northbound side, struck a field approach and rolled over several times. The Cadillac came to rest on its wheels, with the airbag deployed. Alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the state patrol.

The accident was reported at 1:49 a.m. May 24 on dry pavement in Popple Grove Township in Mahnomen County. White Earth Police officers and Mahnomen County Sheriff's deputies assisted at the scene.
