Richmond, VA : A single-vehicle crash on New Year's Day in North Richmond on Monday, 1st January 2018

The victim of a single-vehicle crash on New Year's Day in North Richmond has been identified as a Mechanicsville teenager.

Janausia J. Sands, 19, of the 8100 block of Lee Davis Road, was a passenger in a 2005 Honda Accord sedan when the car suddenly veered off the road about 4:20 p.m. and struck a tree in the 2700 block of Richmond-Henrico Turnpike.
