Westport, CT : Driver stuck in I-95 wreck early Saturday, April 16, 2016

The driver of a car that crashed into a pole off Interstate 95 and flipped on its side early Saturday was removed from the wreck by firefighters.
The accident, reported about 6:45 a.m. Saturday, took place just north of I-95’s northbound Exit 18, according to the report by Assistant Fire Chief Brian Meadows.
The driver was still inside the wrecked car, which had rolled onto its side when firefighters arrived on the scene. The department’s Engine 4, Rescue 3 and the shift commander were dispatched on the call, later joined by Engine 2.
The driver was removed from the car shortly after 7 a.m., when Westport EMS took over treatment.
