Pageland ,SC :One person killed after 18-wheeler Crash along Highway 9 on Tuesday afternoon ,August 25th 2015

One person was killed in a wreck in Chesterfield County, SC involving an 18-wheeler and another vehicle.

The crash happened Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 9 and Boyd Evans Road right outside Pageland. According to officials, it appears a vehicle being driven by a 33-year-old man ran a stop sign and was struck by the 18-wheeler.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. No names have been released.

No charges have been filed in the accident, but officials say troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
