Las Vegas, NV : SUV driver killed in crash with school bus at a Spring Valley on Monday, OCT 26, 2015

An SUV driver injured in a crash with a Clark County School District bus this afternoon at a Spring Valley intersection has died, according to Metro Police.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified him Tuesday as John Ruiz, 25, of Las Vegas.

Police were called about 4 p.m. to Torrey Pines Drive at Tropicana Avenue, where the crash occurred, Officer Laura Meltzer said.

Ruiz was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and later pronounced dead, police said.

No students were aboard the bus, Meltzer said.

The driver of the bus appears to be fine, CCSD spokeswoman Melinda Malone said.
