CUSTER, SD : A man died in a one-vehicle crash on Friday, August 11, 2017

A man died in a one-vehicle crash just before 7:15 a.m. Friday near Custer, according to authorities.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol said in a release that the 27-year-old man was driving a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan eastbound on U.S. Highway 16 about seven miles west of Custer when he lost control of the SUV. The vehicle then went into a ditch.
