Paducah, KY : Two taken to hospital in single-vehicle crash on February, Sunday 4th 2018
Two people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries Sunday in a single-vehicle crash, McCracken County deputies said.
Deputies arrived at 1:13 a.m. to the 7500 block of Benton Road.
Deputies said Dezirae Prouty-Rariden, 20, of Robinson, Illinois, was driving a white 2015 Jeep Patriot northwest when she hydroplaned. Deputies said the jeep crossed into oncoming traffic before leaving the road, hitting a utility pole and fire hydrant.
Prouty-Rariden and her passenger, Jereme York, 31, of Paducah, were taken to a local hospital. The road was closed temporarily for investigation, cleanup and utility work.
Paducah Ford Towing and Recovery, Jackson Purchase Energy Corporation, Mercy Regional EMS and Reidland-Farley Fire assisted at the scene.
