Joplin,MO : Two injured in traffic crashes on area roads on June, Wednesday 7th 2017
A Joplin man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 9:38 p.m. Wednesday on Route E, a mile east of Carthage in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Matthew R. Ketchum, 20, was taken to Mercy Hospital Joplin.
He was riding a westbound minibike that was struck from behind by a pickup truck driven by Jerry W. Lawson, 40, of Carthage, the patrol said.
• A Cassville woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 37, south of Farm Road 2172 in Barry County, the state patrol said.
Sarah K. Sandoval, 30, was taken to Mercy Hospital Cassville with minor injuries.
Sandoval was a passenger in a southbound car driven by Daniel S. Sandoval, 33, also of Cassville, that ran off the road and struck a guardrail, the patrol said.
