Baton Rouge police say a driver who made an illegal U-turn died in a collision with another vehicle.
East Baton Rouge Parish coroner William "Beau" Clark says 28-year-old Bobby Lee died due to multi-system trauma.
Police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola said in a news release Lee was behind the wheel of a pickup traveling in the outside northbound lane on North 22nd Street when he swung into the path of another pickup in the inside northbound lane of that road about 1:15 a.m. Monday.
Coppola says Lee was pronounced dead not long after authorities arrived at the scene. He says the driver of the second pickup was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
