A driver suffered serious injuries after getting ejected from their car during a rollover crash on Interstate 495 in Middleboro Tuesday morning, according to Massachusetts State Police.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene to transport the driver to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after the single-vehicle crash, police said.
Lanes on both sides of the highway were closed during the crash investigation.
“Rte 495 (mm 7.2) in #Middleboro, left lanes N/B and S/B closed for crash invest,” Massachusetts State Police tweeted at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday. “Prelim invest indicates single veh, 1 occupant rollover with ejection in median. Oper trans off highway to med helicopter. Further info to be released as available.”
