AUBURN, AL : Auburn police investigate serious motorcycle crash in front of Colony Liquors at 683 Southbridge Street on Sunday, 14th July 2019

A 63-year-old man from Worcester suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on Southbridge Street, police said.

The crash involving a car and a motorcycle occurred about 1:30 p.m. in front of Colony Liquors at 683 Southbridge St.

The motorcyclist was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where he was in very critical condition Sunday night, Auburn Police Chief Andrew J. Sluckis Jr. said.

Police did not release the victim’s name Sunday, but Chief Sluckis said the accident occurred on victim’s 63rd birthday. He said preliminary investigation indicated the motorcyclist does not appear to be at fault. The accident is under investigation by Auburn police.
