MEMPHIS, TN: Drunk driver crashes into MPD on I-40 on Thursday, 27th July 2023

A drunk driver and a Memphis Police Officer were taken to the hospital after an early morning crash on I-40 West.According to reports, a red Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound on I-40 toward Jackson Avenue when it hit the concrete median.

It then struck the left rear corner of an MPD cruiser that was blocking off the ramp while working an active crash. A witness told officers that the car’s blue lights were on prior to the crash.
