PUXICO, MO ; 60-Year-Old Air Lifted to Hospital After Vehicle vs Bicycle Crash on Sunday, 28th July 2024

A 60-year-old bicyclist was air lifted to a hospital after a crash involving a vehicle on Sunday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened at 5:52 p.m. on July 28, along Highway 51, roughly eight miles south of Puxico.

MSHP stated a 60-year-old from Fisk was riding in the driving lane and was hit in the rear by a 2016 Kia Optima, driven by an 18-year-old.

The bicyclist was reportedly air lifted to St. Louis University Medical Center with serious injuries.
