Washington, PA : Dilliner man killed in Greene crash on Monday, July 3, 2017
A Dilliner man was killed Monday afternoon from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash.
According to state police in Waynesburg, Doug E. Malone, 56, was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., with serious injuries following the crash, but was later pronounced dead by the Monongalia County Medical Examiner.
According to the crash report, Kiley L. Dugan, 26, of Greensboro, was traveling north on Route 88 just north of Ford Street in Monongahela Township, Greene County, when she slowed her car. According to police, Malone, who was behind Dugan, failed to stop in time and struck Dugan’s vehicle, then continued into the southbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by Victoria A. Thomas, 50, of McHenry, Md., head-on. Thomas was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital with suspected serious injuries. Dugan was reportedly not injured.
State police are investigating the crash.
