Melville, NY : Driver dies after crash into tractor trailer on Montauk Hwy on Thursday, February 23rd 2017

The driver of a sport utility vehicle was killed early Thursday when he crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer parked along the eastbound side of Montauk Highway in Moriches, closing all lanes in both directions, Suffolk County police said.

Police identified the driver of the 2005 Saturn Vue as Daniel Krehl, 31, of Mastic Beach, who was pronounced dead at the scene after the 2:37 a.m....
