2 adults, child involved in head-on crash

Two adults and a child were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash on Scottsville Road Thursday.

Police say a woman driving southbound lost control of her car before crashing with a SUV at the intersection of Scottsville and Weidner roads, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said a woman and young child were in the SUV.

All were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, deputies said.

Another car heading northbound swerved off the road to avoid the crash, deputies said. A man and infant inside that car were not hurt, deputies said.

The cause of the crash is being blamed on slippery road conditions, deputies said.
