Warrenton, VA : Woodbridge man dies in crash on Saturday, November 19th, 2016
A 39-year-old Woodbridge man was killed Nov. 19 when his motorcycle collided with a Honda Accord on Nottingham Drive and Dumfries Road in the Ashland area.
According to Prince William County police, Walter Roy Gayle was driving his 2013 Kawasaki 1000 motorcycle southbound on Dumfries Road at an excessive speed when he collided with the driver of a 1997 Honda Accord, who was turning onto Nottingham Drive from northbound Dumfries Road. Gayle was taken to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
Police said the driver of the Honda, a 68-year-old Manassas man, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. They indicated alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in this crash, and the victim was wearing a helmet at the time. Police also said no charges are pending at this time.
