PREBLE COUNTY, OH : Victims identified in deadly semi crash in Preble County on Tuesday, September 12, 2017
The victims have been identified after three people were killed, and two others injured, after a semi crash in Preble County Tuesday afternoon.
The Preble County Sheriff’s Office says Melissa Hudson, 34, was the driver killed in the crash. Two others in the car, Schon Hudson, 34, and Emerie Hudson, 3, were also killed.
The Camden Police Department, along with the Preble County Sheriff’s Office, say the semi was traveling south on U.S Route 127 when it struck a Jeep Cherokee heading east on State Route 725. The semi then hit a van heading north on U.S. 127, causing the vehicle to hit another car.
Police say evidence found at the scene, along with witness accounts, indicate the semi ran a red light at the intersection, hitting the Jeep.
Crews removed the driver out of the semi truck but there is no word on the driver’s condition.
The crash closed the intersection for nearly eight hours while deputies and police conducted an investigation.
