BERKELEY, CA : Motorcyclist dies after Interstate 80 crash, traffic alert lifted on Thursday, October, 19th 2017

A motorcyclist died at an area hospital Thursday after a crash on Interstate 80, the California Highway Patrol said.The crash, which happened in westbound lanes at the Berkeley Curve near the Powell Street on-ramp, also appeared to have involved at least one other vehicle, according to the CHP.
Rescue crews cared for the motorcyclist at the scene.

The far left lane of westbound I-80 was blocked, the CHP said. The crash that brought a Sig Alert for severe traffic at 1:55 p.m. was lifted at 3:04 p.m.
