BETHEL, CT : Car into utility pole crash near Bellardinelli Tire Company on Sunday, 2nd February, 2020

A car reportedly crashed into a utility pole near Bellardinelli Tire Company Sunday afternoon, breaking the pole and causing the car’s airbag to deploy, according to dispatch reports.
Bethel fire crews were called to the Greenwood Avenue scene around 2:50 p.m. for a single vehicle crash, dispatchers said.
Firefighters at the scene called for an Eversource crew to deal with the broken pole. They said a fire hydrant had also been struck and was “turned around backwards,” but was not leaking.
Everyone was reported to be out of the car involved in the accident, but it was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the crash.
