Two people were briefly trapped inside their vehicle when they drove off Carmel Valley Road and slammed into a tree, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said Sunday.
The driver of the silver Audi reportedly drove down a 12 foot embankment and crashed into a tree about 11:20 a.m. Sunday. CHP officials said there were no injuries reported and less than an hour later, the two passengers were out of the vehicle.
A tow truck was called to assist with getting the vehicle away from the tree and out of the ditch and by 12:30 p.m. the car was towed and traffic was clear around the area.
