Worcester, MA : Two teens injured in moped crash with car on Aetna Street on Thursday, August 18, 2016
Two teenagers were seriously hurt Thursday when the moped they were riding crashed into the side of a car on Aetna Street.
Police said the boys, both 16 years old, suffered head injuries and a lacerated liver and were being treated at a local hospital.
The investigation indicated that a Nissan Altima driven by Lauren Neff, 43, of Southbridge, was heading north at 12:20 p.m. on Aetna Street when the boys on the moped, heading east, came down Mendon Street and crashed into the side of the Altima. Police said Ms. Neff told officers a motorist took the boys to the hospital.
The department's Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating, and the Crime Scene Unit also responded.
