Fort Myers, FL : Motorcyclist injured in single-vehicle crash on I-75 in Lee County on Tuesday night, February 2, 2016
A Pennsylvania motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday night in a crash on Interstate 75 in Lee County.
A Florida Highway Patrol report says 53-year-old William Russel Cade, of New Castle, Pennsylvania, was on the northbound on-ramp at mile marker 136, the Colonial Boulevard entrance, when a car in front of him slowed down.
Troopers said Cade swerved to the right to avoid striking the other vehicle, which caused his motorcycle to overturn. Cade, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
