Anderson, S.C : Bicyclist hit from behind and killed in Anderson County on Saturday, November 26, 2016

Authorities sat a 50-year-old man riding a bicycle has been hit and killed by a vehicle in Anderson County.

Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman told media outlets that Jeffrey Abbot was hit from behind as he rode his bicycle on state Highway 81 around 6:15 p.m. Saturday.

Boseman says paramedics pronounced Abbot dead at the scene.

Troopers are still investigating the crash. No charges have been filed.
