New Orleans,LA : Woman killed in hit-and-run on July, Wednesday 26th 2017

New Orleans police say a woman has died in a hit-and-run crash.

According to a police statement , officers responded shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday to a car crash at a 7th Ward intersection. Police say a Mercury Milan traveling north on one street and a Honda CRV traveling west on an intersecting street collided in a t-bone crash.

After the impact, police say the Milan drove away and hit two “residential structures” before coming to a rest. The Milan’s two female occupants were taken to a hospital, where the passenger later died. Her identity hasn’t been released.

Police say the driver of the CRV exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

The investigation is ongoing. Further information hasn’t been released.
