SOUTH BEND, IN : Child injured in crash near South Bend apartment complex in stable condition on Thursday, 29th August 2024

St. Joseph County FACT has been activated to investigate a crash that injured a child on South Bend's east side.

On Thursday, August 29, just before 6 p.m., South Bend Police were called to the 400 block of S. 25th Street (Cedar Glen Apartments) on the report of a child struck by a vehicle.

The child was transported to the hospital for treatment, where she remains in serious, but stable condition.

Police ask you to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
