SHREVEPORT, LA : Major crash causes delays on I-20 on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016

Shreveport police are working a major crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 20 west that is causing traffic delays.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. near North Market Street.

According to a tweet from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the wreck initially shut down traffic. DOTD says drivers can use I-220 West as an alternate route.

It is unclear if there were any injuries.

Shreveport police dispatch says there was only one vehicle involved in the wreck.
