A young woman died and another person was injured in an early-morning accident on the Route 210 Freeway in Fontana, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Division.
On July 24 at 12:14 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of the 210 and Cherry Avenue. A Chevy Trailblazer had driven off the north side of westbound 210 and landed on Cherry.
The driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle.
Nicole Joyce, a 22-year-old resident of Riverside and Rialto, was pronounced dead on scene at 12:24 a.m. by paramedics.
The other female was transported to a local hospital.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
