CLEAR BROOK, VA : Two tractor-trailer drivers died in a fiery crash on Interstate 81 on Thursday, September 7, 2017

Two tractor-trailer drivers who died in a fiery crash on Interstate 81 on Thursday have been identified.

State police said Alfred Frank Atchison was heading northbound in the left lane of I-81 about 3:50 p.m. when the 2014 Freightliner he was driving blew a tire about two miles past exit 317. Atchison, 67, of Nipomo, Calif., veered left and struck a Ford Mustang in front of him. Mustang driver Donald Stemple, 70, of Martinsburg, W.Va., wasn’t injured.
