LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR : Rollover crash sends one to hospital on Friday, 4th November 2016
Lawrence County, Arkansas
A rollover crash in Lawrence County sent one woman to the hospital.
The crash happened just after noon Friday on Highway 63 between Imboden and Black Rock.
A Lawrence County sheriff’s deputy said a trailer came unhitched from a truck and hit a car.
“A northbound car, female driver, she hit the trailer after the driver lost the trailer off the truck," Lawrence County Deputy Sheriff Tim McComas said. "She overturned upside down in the ditch over there.”
An ambulance took the woman to the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro with unspecified injuries, McComas told Region 8 News. She was later taken to a Memphis hospital.
Deputies and Arkansas State Police reduced traffic to one lane as they worked to clear the scene.
McComas said that don’t see many accidents caused by a trailer that has become unhitched.
“How it happened is under investigation,” McComas said. “They’re looking into that at this time.”
