Toledo, OH : Toledo woman, 78, killed in Saturday crash on Saturday, 10th March 2018
A Toledo woman was killed Saturday afternoon when her car and a pickup truck collided at a Washington Township intersection, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported.
Josephine Kneisley, 78, was pronounced dead at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, where she had been taken by ambulance following the 12:08 p.m. crash at Summit Street and Shoreland Avenue, troopers from the patrol’s Toledo post said.
Ms. Kneisley was westbound on Shoreland when her car failed to yield the right-of-way to the pickup driven by Michael Bunker, 35, of Erie, Mich., who was northbound on Summit.
Mr. Bunker’s vehicle overturned after impact, troopers said. He was also taken to St. Vincent, with injuries described as not life-threatening.
Impairment is not believed to have been a factor and both drivers wore seat belts, according to the report. The crash remained under investigation late Saturday.
