Police were investigating after a vehicle ended up submerged in the ocean at a Falmouth beach early Sunday morning.
Authorities said they were called to the end of Mill Road at Surf Beach around 1 a.m. after the car ended up in the water.Photos from the scene showed a that crosswalk sign normally placed along the side of the road had been struck and was lying on the sandy beach, with the vehicle submerged in the water.
The car was removed with a heavy duty tow truck and the driver was transported to a hospital.
The driver's condition was not immediately available. No additional information was immediately released.
