Troy, MI : Man killed in Troy crash after running red light on early Tuesday morning July 29th 2014

Troy police said a driver who ran a red light early Tuesday morning at Big Beaver and Dequindre has been killed after he was hit by an SUV.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m.

Police said a Chevy Malibu was going southbound on Dequindre when it went through the red light. The Malibu was hit by a GMC Acadia that was traveling eastbound through the intersection on Big Beaver.

The driver of the Malibu, 48-year-old Sabri Shanooin Mikho, of Warren, was killed. His 26-year-old female passenger and the Acadia's driver suffered only minor injuries.
