Hamilton County, OH : Teen injured in a head-on crash with pickup in Green Twp. on Saturday, April 30, 2016
A head-on crash Saturday involving a pickup and a car that sent the 17-year-old driver of the car to the hospital was caused by the teen, officials said.
The 17-year-old male, who was not named, was cited for failing to maintain reasonable control of his car, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. He was listed Saturday in stable condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The crash happened at about 4 p.m. in the 7100 block of Taylor Road in Green Township. The teen was negotiating a curve, crossed the center line and collided with a Ford F-250 that was heading in the opposite direction, the news release said.
Green Township firefighters had to mechanically extricate the teen from the car, a Nissan Sentra.
The driver of the pickup was not injured. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Speed, alcohol and drugs did not contribute to the crash, the news release said.
