Volusia County, FL : Bicyclist, 57, killed in crash with motorist in Volusia County on U.S. 92 west of Daytona Beach on Tuesday afternoon, September 30, 2014

A 57-year-old bicyclist was killed Tuesday afternoon after he crossed into the path of an oncoming vehicle in Volusia County, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers. Chopper 2 was over the scene on U.S. 92 west of Daytona Beach. The driver, 22-year-old Shelby Rounds, of DeLand, was westbound on U.S. 92 when troopers said the man on the bicycle tried to cross the busy road and was hit by the oncoming vehicle.
