Fargo, MN : One person injured in semi, SUV crash in Otter Tail County on Saturday, January 21, 2017

One person was injured in Minnesota’s Otter Tail County in a crash involving a semi and a sports utility vehicle with attached trailer.

The State Patrol said the crash happened on Highway 10 in Bluffton just before 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21.

According to Sgt. Jesse Grabow, the driver of the SUV made a right turn from County Road 143 onto eastbound Highway 10 and was rear ended by the semi.

Grabow said the road was wet at the time.

The SUV driver, 73-year-old Daniel Eugene Hegg of New York Mills, Minn. suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.

The semi driver, 45-year-old Jon Irvin Morrow of Motley, and a nine-year-old male passenger were not injured.

The Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash. Grabow said alcohol was not involved.
