Twelve students and three others suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon when a Polk County School District bus was involved in a multi-vehicle accident in the Davenport-Loughman area, Polk County Fire Rescue reported.
All 15 were taken to either Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Haines City or Florida Hospital Celebration Health, Fire Rescue said.
The collision occurred about 3:30 p.m. on Ronald Reagan Parkway at Champions Gate Boulevard, PCFR reported.
The bus was carrying about 70 students from Citrus Ridge Civics Academy in Davenport, a spokesman for Polk County Public Schools said
