Georgia, VT : Enosburgh man arrested in crash on Interstate 89 in Georgia on Thursday October 1st 2015
Vermont State Police say they've caught the driver who caused a nasty crash on Interstate 89 in Georgia.
Police say last Friday, a speeding truck rear-ended a car and shut down the interstate. After the crash, the truck driver took off and K-9 teams couldn't find him.
But Thursday, troopers arrested Jeffrey Nichols, 27, at his Enosburgh home. They say he was driving at 123 mph in a stolen truck when the crash occurred. Nichols allegedly joined others who had stopped to help before fleeing the scene. He's now facing a slew of charges.
