Yakima; ,WA : 80-year-old woman struck and killed by car on Saturday night ,August 8th 2015

Yakima police say an 80-year-old woman is dead after she stepped into traffic on Saturday night.

It happened at about 9 p.m. near the intersection of Mead and Ledwich avenues. The driver of the car that struck her cooperated with investigators and did not show any signs of impairment.

The woman's identity was not immediately released. She was taken to Yakima Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
