Inver Grove Heights, MN : 1 killed, 3 injured in crash on Highway 62 in Inver Grove Heights on Saturday, 12th January 2019

One person was killed and three others suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries in a two-car crash Friday night on Highway 62 in Inver Grove Heights.
The state patrol reports a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am driven by 25-year-old Anwar Ibrahim Yahia Abdiwahed of Minneapolis was traveling west on Highway 62 when it allegedly came to a stop in the right lane west of Robert Trail. It was then rear-ended by a 2016 Dodge Ram driven by 37-year-old Jamey Scott Ralph Strand of Brooklyn Center.
One of the passengers in the Grand Am - 29-year-old Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed of Minneapolis - was killed. Abdiwahed and the other passenger in the Grand Am - 25-year-old Abdirahman Abshir Mohamed of Minneapolis - suffered what were termed as non-life threatening injuries.
Strand suffered injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening as well.
The state patrol incident report states drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash.
