Louisville, KY : One person dies in accident after car hits tree on Algonquin Parkway on Thursday, 12th December, 2019 29 mins ago

Police are investigating a single-vehicle accident Thursday that left one person dead in near the University of Louisville.

According to a release from the Louisville Metro Police Department, authorities went out to a call of an accident in the 900 block of Algonquin Parkway around 9 p.m.

Officers arrived and found that a man, who was the only person in the vehicle and was driving eastbound on Algonquin, crossed over the oncoming lanes and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
