Victoria, TX : A Victoria man was killed in a motorcycle wreck on Sunday, October, 29th 2017

A Victoria man was killed in a motorcycle wreck about 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

Peter Ordones, 45, left his driveway at 600 S. Liberty St. on a 2000 Harley Davidson with passenger Catherine Martin, 44, said David Brogger, senior patrol officer with the Victoria Police Department.

Ordones was traveling east in the 100 block of East Murray Street, and for reasons still under investigation, he accelerated, the officer said.

"He lost control and struck a parked vehicle and left the roadway and hit a fence in the area," Brogger said.

Ordones and Martin were transported by ambulance to Citizens Medical Center.

Martin was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening and later released, while Ordones was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
