Jonesboro, AR : Officer injured after motorcycle accident on Saturday December 12 2015

Arkansas State Police and the Jonesboro Police Department are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle officer and another vehicle at the intersection of Red Wolf and Nettleton. The officer has been taken to a local hospital.
Paul Holmes, public information officer for Jonesboro police, told Region 8 News that Jeff Vernon was struck and was conscious and alert at the scene. He was part of an escort for the Arkansas State football team as they left the university for New Orleans.
Part of the intersection at Red Wolf and Nettleton was blocked for about half an hour.
